SEND A CONFESSION
Some useful information before you write and send us your email:
- There is no ”rule” about how to formulate your letter. If you write it by hand, you can scan it and email a small .pdf or .jpeg copy to us.
- We suggest that in your confession you directly ask for forgiveness and declare clearly that you wish to forgive yourself.
- If your feelings are present while writing, most probably you are doing it the right way.
- If you experience unbearable emotions and thoughts, DO NOT continue, but seek professional help.
- Your confession can be of any length. But if you send us a text to print, please contribute to our our printing costs.
- Participating in Sinburning is part of Sinburning's Seven Steps. In this regard, the on ly wrong confession is the one you do not write!
- The content of your writing is not judged, but only true, sincere, anonymous confessions can be included into our private ceremony. Therefore we filter through our correspondence and send you a short email if your confession is accepted.

Practical information
- Again, the content of your confession is not judged. The above process is simply there to get rid of non-serious emails and spam. If you do not receive a letter from us, we either did not receive your email or cannot include it in our ceremony.
- If you do not receive a letter of acceptance, feel free to rewrite and email it again. Sinburning is a voluntary and anonymous service, the Sinburners do not argue, discuss, or debate whether and when to accept a confession.
- Only emails sent 48 hours before Sinburning Day (GMT, London time) have a chance to get eliminated that month. If your confession is accepted but arrived late, it will be included in the next Sinburning ceremony.
- Your email address and your confession are strictly confidential, and not used or forwarded in any way. Please read carefully our Privacy Policy.
- You confession and your email address are deleted from the system shortly after the ritual of Sinburning. If you wish to receive our Newsletter, you must opt for it.
- Be sure that the persons and events in your email are not identifiable.
- We advise you to use a free Yahoo, Gmail, or similar address dedicated for mailing your letter anonymously.
- One extra suggestion if you wish to remain anonymous – do not sign your confession “accidentally” with your own name. Believe it or not, some people do so.
